Dorsons was a jewellery company formed in 1922 in New York, USA by D. Ornstein and Sons. The last record of this company dates back to at least 1950. They were well-known for producing high-end jewellery, mostly set in sterling silver.
This demure demi parure set is quite rare and is of unbelievable craftsmanship. The pieces are sterling silver with both rose and yellow gold-fill. The screw-back earrings are marked with 'Sterling' at the back while the brooch is signed with 'Dorsons 1/20 12kt'. The red stones on the pieces are hand-set, with the particular detail on the brooch: one side features yellow gold, while the inside is rose gold! It comes in its original presentation box and is in outstanding condition.
